Blotato alternatives that post and reply in one tool (2026)

BetterSocials posts and drafts comment and DM replies in your voice from $29 a month for four accounts. Vista Social and Manychat fit other Blotato stacks.

By Stack & Funnel staff9 min read

Blotato starts at $29 a month, as of October 2026, and handles comments and DMs through its MCP server, where an AI agent you connect writes the answers. If you want posting and replies in one tool without wiring up an agent, BetterSocials is the pick for posting plus comments and DMs in one inbox, from $29 a month, or $24 billed yearly, for four accounts. Vista Social suits a small team that wants DM automations, and Manychat fits if you keep Blotato for posting and add a DM layer.

Blotato covers posting, so sort its alternatives by who writes the reply

Blotato sells itself as social media APIs for AI agents, with Starter at $29 a month, Creator at $97 and Agency at $499, billed monthly, as of October 2026. Its pricing page says annual billing saves "about 17%" without listing the annual prices. It publishes to X, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Bluesky, Threads and YouTube.

The reply side lives in Blotato's MCP server. MCP, short for Model Context Protocol, is the standard that lets an AI assistant such as Claude call a tool's functions. Blotato's MCP tool list has 32 tools, including ones that list and reply to comments on your published Instagram or Facebook posts, send DMs and run DM automations.

So Blotato can answer, but your agent does the writing, and "API and MCP access is not included in the free trial". The useful question is who writes the reply. We sorted the nine alternatives by that job: one tool that posts and drafts replies, a scheduler with an inbox your team answers, or a DM layer that sits beside Blotato.

Stay on Blotato if you post to X, Pinterest or Bluesky, or your stack already runs through an agent.

How we sorted the nine

BetterSocials and the eight tools after it each had to answer comments or DMs from one place, and either post too or sit beside Blotato's posting. We took each price from the vendor's own pricing page, with the month we saw it and whether it's billed monthly or yearly. Where a vendor lists both, you get both.

We compared prices at matching account or seat counts, because a per-user plan and a per-account plan only line up when the headcount does. When a rival is cheaper, we say so first, then say what the extra money buys.

BetterSocials: posting and AI replies under one login

BetterSocials is best for posting plus comments and DMs in one inbox, under one login. It posts to Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Threads, TikTok and LinkedIn, and the comments and DMs those posts bring in land in the same Inbox.

AI replies have two sections, Comments and DMs, and each has three settings: Off, Draft for me and Reply in my voice. Draft for me writes a reply in your voice the moment a message arrives and sends nothing until you approve it. Reply in my voice answers everyday comments 1 to 5 minutes later, and a DM gets an answer about a minute after it arrives.

Questions wait in Needs reply unless you turn on Answer questions too, which only switches on after you've written at least one AI rule, such as your prices, hours or booking link. When your rules don't cover what someone asked, the AI doesn't guess and the message waits for you.

Comment-to-DM means a keyword in a comment sends that person a DM with your link. BetterSocials does it on Instagram and Facebook with no flow builder, and on TikTok, YouTube, Threads and LinkedIn Company Pages the keyword posts a public reply with the link instead. Manychat also sends the Instagram DM, and what BetterSocials adds at its price is YouTube comments and posting in the same tool.

Creator is $29 a month, or $24 billed yearly, for four accounts and one login. Pro is $49 a month, or $39 billed yearly, for six accounts. Team is $99 a month, or $79 billed yearly, for twelve accounts and unlimited teammates, and every plan has unlimited contacts and a 7-day free trial with a card.

BetterSocials also has a public API and a hosted MCP server, so Claude can read the inbox, reply in your voice and schedule posts. It doesn't connect to X, and there's no Zapier or Make integration.

Vista Social: a scheduler with DM automations for two users

Vista Social is best for a small team that wants DM automations next to its scheduler. Professional is $99 a month, or $80 billed yearly, with two users, as of October 2026. That plan is where the social inbox gets DM automations, and you can try it for 14 days without a card.

At two people, Vista Social Professional and BetterSocials Team both cost $99 a month on monthly billing. Vista Social's price includes two users, and BetterSocials Team covers twelve accounts and unlimited teammates, with replies drafted in your voice.

Agorapulse: a shared inbox billed per person

Agorapulse is best for a team where several people answer from one inbox. It pairs scheduling with a full inbox at $79 per user a month on annual billing, as of July 2026. Each person you add to the inbox adds another seat at that price.

The per-user price makes sense when several people share the reply load. For one person running every reply, Agorapulse's pricing is aimed at teams rather than a single seat.

Metricool: YouTube comments on a free tier

Metricool is best for reading YouTube comments next to your analytics. It pairs scheduling with an inbox, and it reads YouTube comments even on its free tier.

That makes Metricool a free way to see whether YouTube comments are worth your team's time before you pay for anything. If they turn into a daily reply job, compare its paid plans at the same account count.

SocialBee: an engagement inbox that includes X

SocialBee is best for a business that also posts to X and wants those comments in the same place. Its engagement inbox covers comments, mentions and DMs on Facebook Pages and Instagram Business, comments and mentions on Threads, LinkedIn Company Pages and X profiles, and comments on YouTube, per its pricing page in October 2026.

Its plans run from one workspace with one user up to five workspaces with three users each. SocialBee also connects to Zapier, Pabbly and Make for automated workflows, which matters if the rest of your stack runs through them.

Later: Conversations for Instagram-led brands

Later is best for brands whose audience lives on Instagram. Its Conversations inbox covers Instagram and Facebook DMs and comments plus TikTok comments, and it starts on Growth at $37.50 a month billed yearly, or $50 monthly, as of October 2026.

Later's Conversations has no YouTube or LinkedIn conversations. If YouTube comments are part of your funnel, BetterSocials Creator at $29 a month, or $24 billed yearly, for four accounts puts them in one inbox with your DMs.

Pallyy: a cheaper inbox without YouTube

Pallyy is best for a lower-priced inbox, and it's cheaper than BetterSocials. Its inbox starts on Pro at $25 a month, or $20 billed yearly, as of October 2026, against BetterSocials Creator at $29 a month, or $24 billed yearly, for four accounts.

Pallyy's Pro inbox covers Instagram DMs and comments, Facebook messages and comments, LinkedIn and TikTok comments, and Google reviews, with no YouTube. The few extra dollars a month on BetterSocials buy YouTube comments in the same inbox as your DMs, AI replies in your voice and keyword comment-to-DM.

Hootsuite: an inbox for teams already on per-user plans

Hootsuite is best for a larger team that already pays per user. Its inbox comes with Standard at $99 per user a month, billed annually, as of October 2026, and it doesn't include YouTube comments.

Two people on Standard pay for two seats at $99 each, billed annually. If your team is already on Standard, the inbox is part of what you pay for, and if it isn't, the per-seat price is the number to weigh.

Manychat: keep Blotato and add a DM layer

Manychat is best if you keep Blotato for posting and add DM funnels on top. It runs automated conversations on Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp and TikTok, including a DM with your link when someone comments.

Pro is $39 a month with 2,500 active contacts, then $0.05 per extra contact, billed monthly, as of October 2026. A busy month past 2,500 contacts adds five cents for each extra person on top of the $39. Manychat leaves posting to a separate tool, so in this stack Blotato keeps that job, and BetterSocials is the pick if you want YouTube comments and posting in the same place.

What the nine cost side by side

BetterSocials Creator and Blotato Starter both cost $29 a month on monthly billing, and BetterSocials covers four accounts at that price. Pallyy Pro is cheaper at $25 a month, or $20 billed yearly, without YouTube in its inbox. Blotato Starter plus Manychat Pro means paying for two subscriptions, $29 and $39 a month, before any contact overage.

The table shows each tool's entry price for the plan that includes its inbox, as of October 2026, with Agorapulse as of July 2026 and Metricool's free tier as of August 2026.

FAQ

Is there a Blotato alternative that also answers comments and DMs?

Yes. BetterSocials posts to Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Threads, TikTok and LinkedIn and answers comments and DMs from one inbox, with AI replies in your voice. Plans start at $29 a month, or $24 billed yearly, for four accounts. Vista Social and Agorapulse also pair posting with an inbox, priced for teams.

Does Blotato answer comments and DMs?

Through its MCP server, an AI agent can. Blotato lists 32 tools, including ones that read and reply to comments on your published Instagram or Facebook posts, send DMs and run DM automations. Your agent does the answering, so pick an alternative when you want replies drafted in your voice for you to approve.

Is there a cheaper Blotato alternative than BetterSocials?

Yes. Pallyy's inbox starts on Pro at $25 a month, or $20 billed yearly, against BetterSocials Creator at $29 a month, or $24 billed yearly, for four accounts. Pallyy's inbox has no YouTube, and BetterSocials puts YouTube comments in the same inbox as your DMs. Metricool's free tier also reads YouTube comments.

Can AI answer my Instagram DMs automatically?

Yes, in BetterSocials. Set the DMs section to Reply in my voice and a DM gets an answer about a minute after it arrives, while questions your AI rules don't cover wait in Needs reply. Instagram only lets a business reply within 24 hours of the person's last message, so speed matters.

Which tools send a DM when someone comments a keyword?

BetterSocials and Manychat both send a DM with your link when an Instagram or Facebook comment has your keyword. No tool can turn a YouTube comment into a private DM, and TikTok allows it only in a limited rollout in Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia. On TikTok, YouTube, Threads and LinkedIn Company Pages, BetterSocials posts a public reply with the link instead.

Can I still use Claude or ChatGPT with a Blotato alternative?

Yes. BetterSocials has a hosted MCP server, and Claude connects with your normal login to read the inbox, reply in your voice and schedule posts. In a normal ChatGPT chat only the read tools work, so ChatGPT can read the inbox and draft but can't send a reply.
