If comments and DMs bring in your customers, pick BetterSocials as your Sendible alternative in 2026. It puts comments and DMs in one inbox, answers them with AI in your voice and posts to six platforms, from $29 a month for four accounts, or $24 billed yearly. Agorapulse is best for a team that shares one busy inbox, and Metricool is best for many brands on a small budget.

Three jobs a Sendible replacement can do

Sendible is the tool you're leaving, so we sorted its replacements by the job each one does best. The three jobs are answering comments and DMs, scheduling posts, or both in one subscription. A DM is a direct message, the private conversation a buyer opens with your account.

Before you trial anything, check three things. First, which DMs reach the inbox, because some tools only collect comments. Second, whether AI drafts or sends the replies. Third, the price at your own account count, since vendors bill per user, per channel, per brand or per plan.

Stay on Sendible if it already covers every account you run at a price that works, and your DMs are light enough to answer by hand. Switch when unanswered comments and DMs start costing you customers. Our earlier piece, What a comment and DM inbox costs on each social media scheduler in 2026, covers the inbox side in more depth.

BetterSocials: the pick when replies are the job

BetterSocials is best for the solo social media manager who has to answer comments and DMs as well as post. Instagram, Facebook and TikTok comments and DMs land in one inbox, beside YouTube, Threads and LinkedIn Company Page comments. In a growth stack, it replaces a scheduler plus a separate DM tool.

AI replies have two sections in Settings, then AI voice: Comments and DMs. Each runs on one of three settings. Off means you write every reply. Draft for me writes a draft in your voice the moment a message arrives, and nothing posts until you approve it. Reply in my voice answers a DM about a minute after it arrives, a change that went live on October 23, 2026.

The AI writes from a voice profile built from your past replies, plus AI rules you write in plain sentences, such as your prices, hours and booking link. When your rules don't cover a question, it waits for you in Needs reply. Comment-to-DM, where a keyword in a comment sends the commenter a private message with your link, works on Instagram and Facebook. On TikTok, YouTube, Threads and LinkedIn Company Pages, the keyword posts a public reply with the link instead.

There are three plans, all priced flat with unlimited contacts:

  • Creator is $29 a month, or $24 billed yearly, for four accounts and one login.
  • Pro is $49 a month, or $39 billed yearly, for six accounts and one login.
  • Team is $99 a month, or $79 billed yearly, for twelve accounts and unlimited teammates.

Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial that needs a card. BetterSocials doesn't connect X, email inboxes, WhatsApp, Telegram or SMS, and LinkedIn personal profiles get posting and analytics only. For growth teams wiring AI into the stack, it also connects to Claude and ChatGPT through a hosted MCP server, though there's no Zapier or Make integration.

Agorapulse: the team inbox with seats to match

Agorapulse is best for a team that shares one busy inbox and needs assignment and reporting. You can assign comments and messages to a teammate, and reply collision detection flags when two people answer the same thread. It also moderates ad comments and Google reviews and suggests AI replies inside the inbox.

Agorapulse's inbox also carries saved replies, inbox labels, sentiment detection and business hours settings, which helps when several people share the queue. The lower tiers include one free automated moderation rule per social profile, and the top tier lifts that to unlimited rules.

The price is $79 per user a month on annual billing, as of July 2026, so the bill grows with every seat. Three people pay three times that, well over two hundred dollars a month. BetterSocials Team is $79 a month billed yearly for twelve accounts and unlimited teammates, so a team of three or more pays less there.

Metricool: scheduling for many brands, free to start

Metricool is best for a manager running many brands on a small budget. Its free plan covers one brand with 20 posts a month, an AI social media assistant and the Metricool MCP, on every network except LinkedIn and X. Metricool reads YouTube comments, free tier included.

Metricool's pricing page lists Starter from $20 a month for up to five brands, or $36 for up to ten, as of October 2026. Starter adds unlimited publishing and the LinkedIn connection. Advanced starts at $53 a month for 15 brands and adds team and client management, post approval and the Metricool API for Zapier and Make.

Metricool is cheaper than BetterSocials for scheduling many brands. BetterSocials costs $29 a month for four accounts, and that money goes to AI replies on comments and DMs and keyword comment-to-DM on Instagram and Facebook.

Buffer: cheap per channel, comments only

Buffer is best for a manager who mostly schedules and answers comments by hand. It costs $5 a channel a month on annual billing, as of August 2026, so six channels run $30 a month. Its Community inbox covers comments on every plan, YouTube included, and DMs stay in each platform's own app.

Buffer is cheaper than BetterSocials at six accounts. BetterSocials Pro is $39 a month billed yearly for six accounts, a few dollars more than Buffer. The difference buys DMs in the same inbox as comments, AI replies in your voice and keyword comment-to-DM.

If you'd add a DM tool to Buffer, do the stack math first. Buffer on six channels plus ManyChat Pro, at $29 a month on annual billing as of July 2026, comes to $30 + $29 = $59 a month. ManyChat Pro includes 2,500 active contacts, and each one past that is billed on top.

Later: Meta DMs alongside the posting calendar

Later is best for a brand that wants Instagram and Facebook DMs beside its posting plan. Its Conversations inbox holds Instagram DMs and comments, Facebook DMs and comments, and TikTok comments, starting on the Growth plan. There are no YouTube or LinkedIn conversations.

Later's prices, as of September 2026, come in three tiers:

  • Starter is $25 a month, or $18.75 a month billed yearly.
  • Growth is $50 a month, or $37.50 a month billed yearly.
  • Scale is $110 a month, or $82.50 a month billed yearly.

So the inbox costs you at least $37.50 a month on Later. BetterSocials Creator is $24 a month billed yearly for four accounts and adds YouTube, Threads and LinkedIn Company Page comments to the same inbox.

Vista Social: DM automations for a two-person team

Vista Social is best for a small team that wants a social inbox with DM automations. Both start on the Professional plan, which includes two users.

Professional is $99 a month, or $80 billed yearly, as of October 2026. The 14-day trial needs no card, which makes Vista Social an easy one to test before you commit a budget line.

Set against BetterSocials, the trade is seats against accounts. Vista Social's entry plan gives two people a login. BetterSocials Pro gives one login six accounts for $39 a month billed yearly, and Team opens unlimited teammates at $79 billed yearly.
